A photo montage is being put together to record the event, possibly to be hung in the Mechanics Institute, which should be finished soon

FUNDS RAISED

Whilst the events organised in Kirkby were more about making the most of the occasion and
bringing the community together, rather than just raising money, we wanted to let you know where the profits will be allocated. All figures at this point are approximate as we have not yet had in all the income or expenses.

Each venue will keep the sums raised by the activities there towards its own funds, so these are the amounts so far:

Mechanics Institute:                         £350

Chapel:                                            £50

Church:                                            £130 (£180 over the three days of their flower festival)

Highside Playing Fields:                  £170

Pre-School also raised about £400 from the pop-up Prosecco, Face-painting and the Chocolate tombola.

A donation of £337 has been made to Yorkshire Air Ambulance from the raffle proceeds which is in addition to money collected directly by their volunteers. Once all expenses have been paid it is anticipated that there will be a balance of around £300 which will be shared equally between the School, Pre-School, Mechanics, Highside, Church and Chapel.
