We are planning a memorable fun day of activities, food and entertainment for all the village.  Festivities are planned to start shortly before 11am with music from the Reeth Brass Band. The race itself arrives at approximately 3.15pm.

To get into the party spirit now, dig out your materials to enter the best-dressed house competition! Houses will be judged (by the WI) from 9am on the day of the race. Great prizes will be awarded to the best two houses - a meal for four with wine (kindly donated by Kirkby Fisheries) and a hamper for a family night in (kindly donated by Gary Carson Painter & Decorator).

A full programme with timings will be circulated nearer the time. We can look forward to:

·      Land Art at the school

·      Children’s cycling races and activities, vintage cars and
a BBQ on the Highside Playing Fields

·      A walking cycle-themed treasure hunt

·      Big screen and exhibitions in the Mechanics

·      A flower festival in the Church and art exhibition in the Chapel

·      Food and drink available up and down the village

·      Raffle with great prizes!

·      And lots more…!

We have been informed Main Street and Church Street will have to be clear of cars from 8am to 5pm on the day of the race. Please make use of friends’ and families’ spaces where you can, other parking areas are being arranged and will be specified nearer the time. Please note that you will still be able to use the roads during the morning whilst the Sportive passes through but there will be a rolling road block in place probably starting at about 2.30pm when the caravan which preceeds the main race, is likely to arrive. This will stay in place to approx. 3.45pm.

VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED – for the build-up and on the day - we do need your help! Please contact Dave Robinson on 01765 658123 or Howard Mountain on 01765 658838.
