''Teaching is consistently strong. Staff skillfully interact with children to engage them in purposeful learning. They focus well on promoting language and social skills helping them to provide for children for future learning'' - Rated 'Good' by Ofsted November 2016.

Set in the heart of the village, we believe Kirkby Malzeard pre-School to be the outstanding choice for so many children in our community. Come and learn with us!

Pre-school is a unique and important time in laying the foundation for your child's learning and personal development ensuring they grow into a confident and happy individual who is keen and ready to start school. At Kirkby Malzeard Pre-School we strive to ensure your child is nurtured and enjoys their time spent with us. We provide a secure and friendly environment in which your child will learn through play. A dedicated team of staff will care and learn about your child, following their interests and needs, ask questions to deepen development and provide new and exciting activities that will stimulate curiosity. For some children we are aware that Pre-School might be the first place they have stayed alone outside of the family. We recognise and appreciate the trust that you will place in us. We aim to repay that trust by giving your child the best start - they deserve it!

Here's what some of the Mums say:

The children get lots of opportunities to express themselves and find out the kind of thing they enjoy. Its a very creative environment, with everything from dressing up and role play, songs and instruments, experimenting with water and sand to making things and painting. Ted loves it. Ted's Mum

Its a very friendly, very inclusive pre-school. I was new to the area and was soon invited on the committee, which proved to be a great way to meet new people and get to learn pretty quickly what goes on at pre-school. Charlie's Mum.

We are passionate about the early years of our children's development and strongly believe Kirkby Malzeard Pre-School is the right place for your child to begin their learning journey.
