KIRKBY MALZEARD, LAVERTON AND DALLOWGILL PARISH COUNCIL

The Parish Council normally meets in the Annexe Room of the Mechanics Institute at 7.15 pm on the last Monday of every month, unless it is a Bank Holiday - see Parish Council website to confirm.

Agendas and Draft Minutes are published on their website (link below), and on the parish notice boards in Kirkby Malzeard (in the Snooker room window of the Mechanics Institute), Laverton (close to the former Chapel) and Dallowgill (Tom Corner and the Old School).

The meetings deal with planning applications, with the Council providing their views to Harrogate Borough Council, who ultimately decide whether or not to grant consent. Occasionally interim meetings are held if responses are required before the next full meeting. Other issues dealt with at the full meetings include maintenance work and financial matters, together with any topics raised by the public. To have an item put on the Agenda please contact the Clerk, Miss Jen Hurford as soon as possible before the meeting (Tel 01765 650363 or email clerk.kmldpc@outlook.com)

Following the election process in early May a new Council has been formed to serve for the next four years. Laverton / Dallowgill is represented by Geoff Lobley (vice-chair) and Howard Mountain (chair), and Kirkby Malzeard by Ruth Broadley, Jane Aksut, Geoffrey Berry, Alan Brownlee and Peter Saxon.
