BUS SHELTER NEAR KIRKBY STORES

Having investigated the issue of what to do about the bus shelter, it appears that it is used occasionally by school children waiting for the bus into School and the Parish Council have therefore decided to retain it and arrange for it to be upgraded, so that as well as being functional it will be a more attractive feature at that end of the village. They will be obtaining further quotes for joinery work but it is hoped that there can be a working party to carry out redecoration and possibly the addition of window boxes or similar to make it more appealing.

THE FORMER HENRY JENKINS PUBLIC HOUSE

The planning application made earlier in the year by the new owner of the East section (Mr Claybourn), for conversion to one dwelling (see HBC Planning website for details - case ref 18/03230/FUL) has been resubmitted with additional information and a decision is currently awaited.

The ACV listing on that section of the property was removed following the sale. HJCC applied to have it re-listed but the nomination has been unsuccessful. Please refer to the Parish Council website for a copy of the decision:   http://www.kmldpc.btck.co.uk/NEWS/

Further information and updates on the future of the building are available on the Henry Jenkins website:  ://www.thehenryjenkins.com/
