SEASON 2017-18

FIRST TEAM: Managed by Chris Slater and assisted by Andrew Stone - Captained by Jonathon Raddan.

The first team play in the 13 team Harrogate and District Heck Sausages Premier League and this year their strip is sponsored by the Queens Head village pub.

There have been some excellent performances this season so far and are currently 4th in the table. The team beat Knaresborough Celtic Reserves 4-3 on February 17 with 2 goals from Ash Buckley and one each from Mitch Sleight and Glenn Lyons. The next match is away at Pateley Bridge on February 24.

RESERVES: Manager - To be appointed. Captained by Conor Bryan.

The reserves play in the 14 team Harrogate and District Jan Sinker Memorial League One and they finished a respectable 7th in League Two last year before it was amalgamated into Division One.

The team are currently bottom having lost 2-1 at Ripon City Reserves on January 13. Their recent scheduled games have been postponed because of the weather and they have played a lot fewer matches than other sides in the league so they should be able to move up the table once they play some of their re-arranged fixtures. Their next match is at home to Pool AFC on February 24.

VETERANS (OVER 35 SIDE) - play in the Championship of the Football Mundial Harrogate Vets League. Managed by Shane Hayden and captained by Ian Carling.

The team are currently mid table having lost 7-1 to Garforth on February 4 and then 8-0 to Sherburn White Rose on the 11th. Hopefully things will improve when they play Thirsk on March 4.

Kirkby have also entered an OPEN AGED TEAM to a new concept this season. The football Mundial "Flexi League" is played on either a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon at the Harrogate Town CNG stadium or St Johns Fisher's brand new 3G pitch. The team won its first game 3-0 against Hampsthwaite United, shared a goalless draw with Burton Leonard, lost 3-0 to Harrogate Utd and then 8-0 to Rodallega Bombs. There was slight improvement against Clifford Vets when they only lost 1-0 but their poor form continued against Helperby United under 21's when they lost 3-2. They did however beat Six Offenders 3-1 but fared less well
on February 9 against The Railway Children when they lost 5-1.
