KIRKBY MALZEARD FOOTBALL CLUB

SEASON 2017-18

FIRST TEAM: Managed by Chris Slater and assisted by Andrew Stone - Captained by Jonathon Raddan.

The first team play in the 13 team Harrogate and District Heck Sausages Premier League and this year their strip is sponsored by the Queens Head village pub. 

There have been some promising performances so far the team with the team now 7th following an impressive 2-1 victory last weekend away at Beckwithshaw Saints. They play away again on October 21 at Addingham.

RESERVES: Manager - To be appointed. Captained by Conor Bryan.

The reserves play in the 16 team Harrogate and District Jan Sinker Memorial League One and they finished a respectable 7th in League Two last year before it was amalgamated into Division One.

The team are currently 11th having lost a high scoring game 3-6 at home to Dalton Athletic at the weekend. Their next match is at home to Kirk Deighton Rangers Reserves on October 21 with a 2.30pm kick off.

VETERANS (OVER 35 SIDE) - play in the Championship of the Football Mundial Harrogate Vets League. Managed by Shane Hayden and captained by Ian Carling.

The team drew their first match 2-2 with Amaranth Manstonians and then unfortunately lost 4-0 against Garforth Villa.

Kirkby have also entered an OPEN AGED TEAM to a new concept this season. The football Mundial "Flexi League" is played on either a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon at the Harrogate Town CNG stadium or St Johns Fisher brand new 3G pitch. The team won its first game 3-0 against Hampsthwaite United and then shared a goalless draw with Burton Leonard.

General training is held at College Lawns in Ripon at 7.45pm - 9pm every Tuesday.
