MONDAY JUNE 25

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING  - Regular monthly meeting starting at 7.15pm in the Mechanics Institute.

FRIDAY JUNE 29

QUIZ NIGHT - The bar opens at 7.30pm and the quiz starts at 8pm prompt when its Quiz night at the Mechanics in Kirkby. It costs £3 per person - max 6 people per team - and includes a light supper. Raffle.

WEDNESDAY JULY 4

WEDNESDAY FELLOWSHIP - A Strawberry Tea will be served when members meet at the Methodist Chapel in Kirkby Malzeard this Wednesday starting at 2.15pm.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE - Kirkby Malzeard Women's Institute will be meeting tonight at 7.15pm in the Mechanics Institute. Deirde Morrow from Dee Spices is giving a cookery demonstration.

FRIDAY JULY 6

MUSIC NIGHT - The regular monthly Music Night takes place this evening at the Mechanics Institute starting at 8pm, with the bar open from 7.30pm. Everyone welcome to perform or listen. £2 per person - under 13's free.

TUESDAY JULY 10

COFFEE MORNING The Methodist Chapel in Kirkby Malzeard will be open this morning from 10am -12 noon serving tea/coffee and homemade biscuits/toast. Everyone welcome.

FRIDAY JULY 20

YORKSHIRE IN BLOOM - Judging takes place from 10.30am onwards - the Kirkby in Bloom group wish to thank everyone in advance for your efforts in making the village look so attractive for this occasion.

DUCK RACE - The annual Duck race will take place in Laverton tonight to raise funds for Highside Playing Fields - more information to follow

FRIDAY JULY 27

CREAM TEA - Friends of Ripon Hospital will be holding a fund raising event at the Mechanics Institute this afternoon from 2.00-4.00pm serving tea/coffee with cream scones. Cakes, Books, Raffle, £1 Stall and Bric-a-brac.
